What does a Waterjet do?

Waterjet cutting uses a jet of pressurized water as high as 55,000 pounds per square inch (psi) to precisely cut through materials. Often, the water is mixed with an abrasive (usually garnet) to enable materials to be cut cleanly to close tolerances. Waterjets are capable of cutting many industrial materials including stainless steel, alumnium, tool steel, ceramics, glass, and granite. Our machine is capable of cutting up to 3 inch thick solid stainless steel.
